Science & Engineering Coasters
A box set of etched-glass coasters was created as a corporate gift for the opening of the Waikato Mass Spectrometry Facility at the University of Waikato. The facility supports research endeavours within the University and offers analytical chemistry services to external clients.
The illustrations represent four of the major disciplines studied within the Faculty of Science and Engineering: Chemistry, Earth Sciences, Biology and Electronic Engineering.
References: The model of buckminsterfullerene and the electronic board were drawn from life. The eukaryotic cell was drawn from memory, and the model of the earth was adapted from technical illustrations.
